Mysteries From The Deep
- Oh, you just cannot explain these mysteries. It all began with Jack. The story of Jack, the black dog is as strange as that of Theophilus Hain, a bachelor who was the owner. They lived in a small community in Freedomtown. Freedomtown as people called it was a city in Buenos. Buenos was a country that sprang up somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean. It was an Island with tall coconut trees lined along its coasts. The country was populated with people from different races and cultures.
The Baby and the Snake
- The following day, the story of the bandits and their activities in the estate the previous night had gone round Freedomtown. John wondered how the thieves could have known that someone was keeping the kind of money they demanded in the house.
The Strange Visitors
- It was a Saturday night. John was at home watching the television. After some hours, he was tired of watching the programs. He switched the television off and went to bed. While he was trying to sleep, he heard the sound of footsteps on the ceiling. He was terrified. It was as if some spirits had come. He could no longer sleep. It appeared that the buzzing sound was going to come down from the ceiling.
The Demons and Spiritual Bath
- In the remote village of Makine, an event unfolded to the consternation of the people. It began when Felix, a prince from the village who lived in the city came on a visit to celebrate the annual yam festival. During this festival, all the indigenes of the village came from far places to perform the age long festival of harvesting new yams. According to tradition, the new yam should be eaten first by the king before other indigenes could eat it. It was a taboo for anyone to eat yams in the village before the king because the people believed that whoever did so would be chased by yams with human heads and feet.
The Naked Trip - John met Paul, the beach Priest after a second visit to the beach. The priest recommended that he should take a bath at the Atlantic Ocean beach to wash his sins away. John later informed Hain what transpired between him and Paul. The priest told him that he had seen the future and that his problems with the forces of darkness would be over. Hain too was very much willing to meet the priest too for spiritual consultation with the Creator on his behalf to find a solution to his own problems too. Two days later, Hain also met the priest at the beach.
The Morning After - It was a tough time at the Cough 2000 International Inc. following the robbery by members of Whirlwind's gang. The following day, the police combed everywhere to see if they could find any trace left behind by the thieves. But they did not see anything. Everyone was surprised about the robbery. Amanda walked in later in the day with Maxwell, the expatriate American who worked in the company. He was worried by the theft of his passport.
The Mystery Fire - That night, Buffalo made consultations with a weird oracle in his courtyard. This type of oracle had the power of feeling the pulse of certain forces in the spirit realm and Buffalo wanted some information about a nocturnal meeting he was about to attend.
Theatre of The Absurd
- The rod that was stolen by Felix from his father's palace was finally sold to Maxwell. Maxwell was very happy that he bought the rod. He planned to take it to America as a souvenir. Because of the various network of evil and the activities of the nocturnal club on the street where they lived, John and Hain decided to travel out of Buenos to the Federal Republic of Atlantis, a country very close to the Mediterranean ocean. From there, they believed that they would later travel to the United States. Both of them applied for a traveling visa to the Federal Republic of Atlantis and they were later invited for interview.
The Father of Rats - Since the theft of the rod, Felix had been feeling very awful, uncoordinated, and miserable. The money he made from the sale of the rod to Maxwell was even stolen by an unknown person. His dreams in recent times had been very bad and he could not explain it. It was just like the rod was still tormenting him. One day, he sat on the couch to take fresh air outside the house. He found himself in a strange gathering. He was accused of stealing by some people. He did not recognize his accusers.
The Scary City And The Rats
- The city had really become a very scary place to live. And since Felix brought the rod from the village, he and many people have been tormented. But they did not link the events to him. The worst came one day when Felix climbed a sky scrapper in the city and jumped to death. The news of the disaster spread across the city to his village and his father's palace where he stole the rod. They still did not link the tragedy to the stolen rod.
The Psychic Torments
- The relationship between Joseph and Jane had become strained. Although they heard all that happened about the woman that crashed from the sky, they were more concerned about what took place in their home. Joyce, Jane's friend finally convinced her that the only way out was to visit Buffalo to use his awesome powers to solve the problems. The two women went to Buffalo in his courtyard in the outskirts of the city.
The Rain Catcher - Jack, the strange dog had nurtured her babies and they had grown to be lovely dogs in the neighborhood. When John lost his job following the strange events in the organization and on the street where he lived, he engaged in a small business of selling dogs. His saving grace was the same dog that was once abandoned in the market. He made money from the sale of Jack's puppies. He however had fun playing with the puppies before they were sold.
The Human Casino - Kabana expected that David, his driver would come to work early that morning. But David showed up after the appointed time. Because of this, Kabana was furious as he stood at the balcony of the building in expectation. David later arrived walking towards the building.
The Strange Voyage -
The discovery of the embalmed bodies of the two kids which spun money in one of the buildings owned by Kabana sent shock waves throughout the city for many days. All the tenants who lived in Kabana's apartments were looked at as suspects and criminals who converted kids through diabolical means to money machines like the casino. Hain and John were looked at with suspicion. People said it openly that they now know how Kabana made his money.
Wife By Postage - Hain and John did not know what was happening in Freedomtown and that a woman had been picked to harm them wherever they are. Both friends settled down in America and the thought on their mind was how to find someone to marry. While John was on the look out for an American woman, Hain decided to check the web sites to see if he could get a beautiful lady from any part of Buenos.
Strange Event After Halloween
- The following morning, he went to work at the theatre but he could not do much. He was very restless and his colleagues knew that something was wrong with him. He left the office very early and headed home. He parked the car and walked towards his house. He opened the door and saw the strange bird trapped in a corner of the sitting room. As soon as the bird set its eyes on him, the bird knew that it was doomed and began to scream out loud, pleading for help in English like a human being.
The Strange Attorney
- Calixthus embarked on the journey to meet his client in America and to defend him for killing the strange bird. He sat in the aircraft with one of his deputies who had accompanied him on the journey. The voice of a crew came through the in-built speaker in the aircraft requesting everyone to fasten their seat belts. After fasting their belts, the passengers stared at one another as the plane took off. When the plane reached a cruising altitude, Calixthus took a pen and began to write notes on the cases he wanted to mention during the trial.
More Psychic Drama -
After many years of losing contact with John, his uncle, Joshua, and his wife Rosa were on the look out for him. They wanted to locate him after many years of separation. They were really desperate to know where he was. They have not seen him in their network and they were desperate to find out what he was doing. This desperation took them to Buffalo's courtyard since someone had informed them that herbal priests have some ways of locating missing people. They met Buffalo who promised them that he had an advanced form of fetish system that could locate people anywhere they are in the world.
The Wonders
- News about the court case continued to spread across the globe. On the television screen from country to country was the strange story that a man was being charged to court for killing a crow. Many people who heard the story in some remote villages wondered why a man was being subjected to such a problem when crows are regarded as evil birds.
