Did you know that I can feel you
Sometimes
When you’re not here,
When you’re far away from me,
In some other place,
In some other time.
Can lie in my bed
Alone
And imagine you there with me.
I can feel you skin –
Hot and slick
Against my own.
I can smell your breath –
So sweet,
And feel it on my face.
I can feel your lips on me –
Feel the soft delicate flesh of your mouth
On my cheeks,
On my neck,
On my chest
And on my own lips –
So dry without yours really there.
I can feel your hands –
The soft palms,
The tickling graze of your fingerprints
As you caress my body.
Tracing every curve,
Touching lightly,
And teasingly,
Where you know it brings pleasure.
I can feel your body –
Masculine and warm,
Sculpted and soft –
Against mine.
Pressing against me firmly enough
To let me know you’re there.
And yet I open my eyes
And you’re not there.
And until you are again
I close my eyes and stay
In the darkness alone
With you.
