The Strange Voyage

The discovery of the embalmed bodies of the two kids which spun money in one of the buildings owned by Kabana sent shock waves throughout the city for many days. All the tenants who lived in Kabana's apartments were looked at as suspects and criminals who converted kids through diabolical means to money machines like the casino. Hain and John were looked at with suspicion. People said it openly that they now know how Kabana made his money. 

Apart from this, they reasoned that why many evil things seemed to be happening on the street was due to the fact that the spirit of the embalmed kids were restless and tormenting the people and calling for vengeance.

The only saving grace for the residents, however was that Kabana did not implicate anyone in his statement to the police. Kabana confessed that he actually paid someone in another town to kidnap the kids when they closed from school and that they were taken to an herbal priest who carried out the rituals that converted their souls and body into money-spinners. He said further that the embalmed bodies were later transported at night into the compound many years ago.

While the case was going on, John and Hain traveled to the Federal Republic of Atlantis. The trip was a very big relief to both of them especially John who had just been released from incarceration by Juliet's brother who was a soldier in the military government which deposed the democratic government of Buenos. John knew that he would be arrested if he fails to show more commitment to Juliet and her baby. 

Juliet found out that John had left the country with Hain many days after they landed at the Federal Republic of Atlantis. They stayed in the country for three months and from there traveled to America. It was when Juliet went to collect her child's upkeep allowance that she found out John had left the country. But no one knew exactly the country where he resided. She was perplexed and more desperate to do harm unto him. She felt betrayed again. Juliet thought that she needed more spiritual power to tackle John and cow him. But knowing his location would be the first step to attack him. Some people suspected he was in Europe while others said that they have heard that he had crossed over to America. The information was rather confusing.

One day Juliet went to the beach again to meet the beach priest. The priest was not around and while she was leaving the beach, she met the woman who crashed from the sky when she was on a nocturnal flight. The woman had actually come to the beach to recruit members for the nocturnal club. Both of them began to talk and within a short time, became friends. It looked as if they had known each other for many years. They shared each other's problems but it never occurred to Juliet that this was the woman that was on the television and newspaper over an alleged crash into a church premises.

"Where exactly is the man now?" Asked the woman.

"I am not even sure. Some people said he is in Europe. Another set of people said he has crossed over to another country," Said Juliet.

"That's not a problem. We can track him down in our club," she volunteered.

Juliet was very interested in joining a club that would help her track the man she loved. She agreed to join the nocturnal club.

"I will introduce you to our leader and let him handle your case. Wherever he is, we will find him and take action. Even if he is in a hole," said the woman.

The woman told Juliet about the club and what she would gain by attending their meetings. Juliet was very happy when she heard that the members work together and defend each other's cause.

The following day, she was introduced to Buffalo who promised to do everything to track down John and his friend Hain and deal with them. 

"Such men cannot be cowed by force used by soldiers. They need spiritual bullets as we do in this club to fight anyone who confronts our members," Said Buffalo.

Juliet was invited to attend her first session with other members of the club. It was during this meeting that attempted were made to locate John. 

"From our radar, we found that the guys no longer live in this territory at all," said one of the members attending the meeting.

"We should try to help our sister. Let us find where they are now," suggested Buffalo.

"They have moved away from the location of our radar to a new territory. We have to contact our club members elsewhere," said a member 

"We have to locate them wherever they are on this planet," said Buffalo.

"What can we do to get them?" Asked one of them.

"When cases get as complicated as this, what we do is to consult other members in other continents. We will link them and ask for assistance so as to be able to get them wherever they are," said Buffalo.

"Then, lets try that," suggested one of them.

"Will it be possible to send one of us there to combat them?" Asked someone else in the group.

"Yes of course," Answered Buffalo.

All through that night, they sent signals from the nocturnal club to other parts of the world. The only place where they got positive response that the people they were looking for might be was in America. The club later chose a woman to be in charge of the matter to track down the two friends and harm them spiritually.
