Cindy stooped to pick up the television remote. She paused, giving a sad smile, unable to resist the one thing she had that reminded her of Benny, the remote she used to control him with. Cindy went hesitantly to her purse and she picked it up. She slipped her hand in and found it, warm and smooth and deadly.
Not daring to looking at it, her eyes closed. She held it to her heart and stroked it.
"Benny," she said through the tears, "Why did you leave me?"
Cindy raised the control up and her lips brushed it.
The red light winked at her.
The light was still on? Then she screamed. "He is alive. The little bastard pulled one again. Benny," she railed, her fists raised and trembling, "I'll find you and break you to my will. I swear it. You little bastard," Cindy shrieked and dashed the remote to the floor.
