poisoned - club) |

preferred you to me. |

I shall treat you like a dog suffering from rabies. You are not my son.

| (Opeke
appears passing in front of the room. She overhears the conversation
and she stops) |
| OLUSI: |

aware of what happened. Everything that happened was not natural. I only
remembered she called. It wasn’t natural. I swear. |
| (Opeke peeps through the keyhole) |

(He clubs him) |

(pleading) Father, please. I swear it won’t

| (Olusi staggers and falls down. He is in a convulsive
state). |

(his eyes are closing) Father,

(He dies) |
| (Jayin
certifies that he is dead. He kicks the body and opens the door to leave.
But he is startled to meet Opele just outside the door). |
| OPEKE: |

must go quickly and cover everything up before they suspect. They
mustn’t know that that stupid son felt through me. Because if they know,
that is another trouble to settle with the townspeople. |
