Cyber-Sex 101 -- Part 19
by Cynthia McCaffrey

Lesson Nineteen.

The future as I see it!

Your instructor is Professor Taltos.

Hello again and welcome back. A funny thing happened to me (no not on the way to the office) the other day and I really want to share it with you. As you may recall I mentioned the fact that I was interested in exploring the more smutty sides of writing. Well, I decided to try a couple of quick short stories on a few of my chat room friends. I am humbled to say they went nuts for them. It makes me wonder if I haven’t been going about this all wrong. I mean I knew sex sells and all that and I knew that basically if you want someone’s interest then mention something about sex in your story. But my chat room friends really went nuts for them. When I returned to the chat rooms I asked a few of them why they like the stories so well. I was even more surprised at the answers I got.

It seems that my friends in the chat rooms think I have a way of making a story come to life. Some of them told me that when they were reading my stories they could felt as if they were in the places I wrote about. I find this extremely flattering and like any ego maniac I will keep trying hard to live up to this impression. I have to say however that it’s easy to write in a realistic fashion when the subjects I deal with everyday are real people. And the people that I deal with are very special types of people . I would like to send a great big thank you to all of you for being so helpful to me along my way and for the very encouraging words. It means a lot to me. You all have been more than just patient with me as I bumbled along.

The other day I was chatting with ‘Cindybear’, one of my female chat pals. She mentioned the fact that she particularly liked the way I dealt with people. She felt I was able to deal with different types of problems with out being judgmental while doing it. Once again I was flattered, my reply was some smart ass remark about living in glass houses. However her words didn’t go to deaf ears, I realize how important that kind of feedback can be.

During the rest of my conversation with ‘Cindybear’ I started to think about what the Professor was going to do next. I don’t think I have given Cyber-sex a full assessment and I knew I sure wanted to go further into the whole issue. Then my dear friend suggested something to me that would make my next adventure one I have always dreamed of. Why not a “Ask the Professor’ type of thing. You could e-mail me what ever questions or problems you want help with. I would do my best to find the right answers or give you the best advice I can. And we would all be a bit happier for it. I really liked the idea, and I hope you do too.

I don’t think I have ever written any thing that hasn’t been based on real experiences. The world with all it’s people is one large classroom to me. Each experience only drives me on further to find another adventure waiting for me. This isn’t because I am a gifted person or special in any way. It’s because I have always been blessed with good friends and a loving family. Generally my peers support me in my work as well as the lifestyle I have chosen.

No, I don’t walk around with rose colored glasses on or delude myself into believing the world is nothing but a wonderful place to live in. My real world is a place where I know the hooker standing on the corner by name, and it’s a daily occurrence to see a drug deal being made at the corner doughnut shop. I live here by choice, this the real world that gives me my urgency to write. And it is also the world that help me understand people and not be judgmental ( I hope) of them.

Perhaps that’s what my friend meant. If that’s the case my friend is right the feed back is the most important thing. The feedback is what I get from you, the nice people that read my work. And the feedback is what makes my work. But most important the feedback tells me what’s going on in your lives. And I really do care. If I didn’t care I’d write about flowers or trees or something.(lol)

What I really want is to hear from you. I want to hear your problems and I want to hear your questions. I want you to know that I do care about what’s going on out there. As I have mentioned numerous times I am not an expert on any one thing but I try to give good advice, based on life experiences. It has been decided that the Professor should have his own column. For simplicities sake we’ll call it ‘Ask the Professor’. You may send any questions or problems to proftaltos@yahoo.com! I will try to answer as many as I can in a bi-weekly column. The column will be starting at the end of lesson twenty. I really hope to hear from a lot of you.

Please note that at all times discretion shall be the order. I will at all times avoid using any personal information I may be privy to. Each reference in the column shall be of general terms, relating only to the specific subjects. Feel free to ask me not to mention your e-mail in my column. Those that wish not to be included in the column will be answered in the same fashion as those that will be mentioned. I will be answering as many e-mails, personally, as I possibly can.

Next time will be the completion of our twenty lesson course. I will also be throwing out a couple of subjects that might be of interest to you. They will be just a suggestion of what you may wish to talk about. The last lesson will also be a summary of our program ‘Cyber-Sex’ and a brief farewell. As I have said I sincerely hope to be hearing from a lot of you in the near future.

For now this is Prof. Taltos signing off.
